The Technical University – Sofia is ranked in the 1401+ group in the prestigious global ranking, which is an important step towards increasing the international visibility and recognition of the university.
In the 2027 edition, 8808 institutions from 106 countries were evaluated, and 1504 universities published in the ranking. Only two institutions from Bulgaria are included, one of which is the Technical University – Sofia.
The strongest aspects of TU – Sofia are related to the indicators International Research Network, Faculty Student Ratio, Sustainability, and Employment Outcomes. The highest indicator result was recorded for International Research Network, which indicates potential in international scientific cooperation and participation in partner research networks. Good performance was also recorded for Faculty Student Ratio, related to the ratio between academic staff and students. The indicators Sustainability and Employment Outcomes are good, which shows the connection between education, the employment of graduates, and the social impact of the university.
The first inclusion of the Technical University – Sofia in the QS World University Rankings 2027 is a significant institutional achievement and an important stage in the process of sustainable international positioning.
