The Technical University – Sofia was the host and co-organizer of the event The Internet Measurement Day (IMD) at "Tech Arena".
The event is part of a series of initiatives organized by RIPE NCC (Réseaux IP Européens Network Coordination Centre) and ICANN (Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers), aimed at promoting the use of internet measurement and analysis tools in countries served by RIPE NCC.

Network operators, researchers, representatives of regulatory bodies, and many other stakeholders from various countries exchanged experience and discussed current trends, challenges, and best practices in the field of internet measurements, network resilience, and the development of internet infrastructure.

The event was opened by the Dean of the Faculty of Telecommunications at TU-Sofia, Prof. Agata Manolova, and video messages were delivered by Hisham Ibrahim, Chief Community Officer of RIPE NCC, and Christopher Mondini, Vice President Stakeholder Engagement Europe and Managing Director for Europe of ICANN.

The measurement of DNS using the RIPE Atlas platform, best practices for DNS infrastructure management, routing analysis using RIPEstat and RIS tools, the deployment of RPKI and IPv6 in Southeast Europe, the resilience of internet infrastructure in the region, as well as opportunities for participation in the initiatives and programs of RIPE NCC, ICANN, and Internet Society were among the topics of the forum.
The institutional partner of the event is Internet Society (ISOC).
